Pond Liners are an impermeable material used for water retention and are a vital part of any backyard pond or fountain. Liners are made using our heavy duty Aqua-Master polyethylene and safe for fish and other aquatic life. The Aqua-Master material is also excellent for homemade outdoor pool liner applications.
Q) How do I install the pond liner? A) Dig a hole the size and shape you want your pond to be, making sure you remove all sharp rocks and debris so it won’t puncture your liner. We recommend adding 2” of sand to act as a cushion to protect your liner. Lay your liner on top of the dugout. The liner should be larger than the dugout all around, this will be trimmed later. Start filling the liner with water, the water pressure will contour to the shape of your dugout but you may need to move it around a bit to work out the folds when you first start. Fill the liner to the top and trim the excess liner when you are done.
Q) How do I repair my pond liner?A) This question is a tough one for us! We are not able to repair pond liners unless you bring it to our shop cleaned up and dry. We can heat seal on a temporary patch but there is no guarantee how long it will hold as it is very hard to patch poly material and make it watertight. You may consider getting some Flex Tape, draining the pond to below the tear and patching with the Flex Tape onsite.
